The Crysta Apex S is a high accuracy CNC coordinate measuring machine (CMM) that guarantees a maximum permissible error of MPEE = (1.7+3L/1000) μm [500/700/900 Series using Renishaw SP25 scanning Probe]
Itcomes equipped with a temperature compensation system that guarantees the accuracy of measurement under temperature conditions of 16 to 26 °C. This temperature compensation system comes as a standard in every Mitutoyo Crysta Apex Machine.
This machine series offers a maximum drive speed of 519 mm/s and a maximum acceleration of 2,309 mm/s2 [500/700/900 Series], resulting in an increase of almost 100 mm in drive distance in one second. Combining high speed and high acceleration, the CRYSTA-Apex S dramatically reduces measuring time resulting in a significant reduction in measuring cost.
The machine also comes with a high performance yet user friendly measurement software called MCOSMOS. The MCOSMOS software runs under Windows. The user can proceed with measurements by selecting the desired functions using icons and pull-down menus in the familiar Windows operation method, there is no need to memorize control codes.
MCOSMOS has several package options including linking CAD data and Scanning. The software also supports a wide range such as touch probes, scanning probes, image probes, rotating-head probes, and auto-probe changers, enabling automatic measurement of all types of work piece.
